Today the first batch (19 pieces) of a total of 76 second-hand passenger carriages arrived in Bulgaria, for which BDZ-PP signed a purchase contract with Deutsche Bahn. The total value of the order amounts to BGN 30.5 million. The order includes:
- 60 saloon second-class carriages;
- 6 specialized wagons for the transport of disability persons;
- 10 wagons type Bistro.
The wagons from the first batch were already distributed between Sofia (9 units) and Plovdiv (10 units) depots. According to initial information, they are expected to be put into regular service after mid-June 2024.
