Image Description: |
The theme for this week is Stars. Whoever came up with the timing of this theme was clearly deeply twisted since photographing stars at the summer solstice requires staying up extremely late. Hanging around in lanes and fields in the dark might be considered as a little strange by some people. Not photographers obviously. I was amazed with how many shooting stars were visible on the images. This one has three in a single 20 second exposure. You can also see the Milkyway. If I had stayed out even later I think that the images would have been even clearer, but I liked the graduated colours that the camera picked up and went with minimal adjustment to a single RAW image.
