The best accommodations are the ones like your own home. So, apparently Santa brought his house to Glendale in order to feel at home, and make the kids and their families feel likewise. Or something like that. Anyway, it was a slightly bigger setup than two years ago.

Took a walk over to the Americana as the sun was setting. I was hoping to get more magic hour shots of the mall and its decorations. Here is the tree, a hundred feet tall, located at the southwest end, near the Pacific Theaters and the Barnes & Noble bookstore.

The birdhouse-like book nook that is popular in Grand Park is not there at the present time. Instead, someone had the idea of putting these used (but available) books out under one of the three Christmas trees in the center of Grand Park. I guess they were meant for taking. They were hard to reach. Maybe next week I'll see if they are still there, or if more books have been added to the collection.

I'm not sure what type of bird this is supposed to be, though its beak has a familiar look to it. I call it a snowbird because the Christmas lights reflecting in the window gives it the appearance of snow falling. I forget the name of the store where it was on display in the window. It looked too good to not photograph.
