I wonder if those people in the County who approve of the lunch trucks actually knew what they were getting here, besides a hot pink truck that matches the furniture former Supervisor Molina picked out because of her preference for that color?

This image I deliberately kept the color in. It does make the building in the background stand out more as a result. It also shows the contrast between the intentions of the artist and the real setting it is surrounded by.

I didn't take into account the visitors in the background. Otherwise, it would have been a pretty good shot. The only source of light was from overhead, so the shadows on the figures are a bit too harsh. Anyway, this was from India, around the late 12th to early 13th century. The figures are made of copper alloy.
The notes at LACMA say this:
"Krishna Rajamannar, the cowherd king, probably represents a hero from the Mathura area of northern India who was subsequently deified and identified with Vishnu. Krishna's staff (now lost) and jeweled headdress signify his dual identities as cowherd and monarch. Rukmini, Krishna's chief wife, is at his right; his second wife, Satyabhama, is at his left. In this rare representation, the celestial bird Garuda is depicted as almost human, except for his wings and beak."

I got this the same morning as the other backlit flowers. It is fun to play around with both light and the macro lens.

After getting the previous photo, I walked down the street a bit and got this view. Unfortunately, I could not avoid the hot reflections from the sun hitting the building. The people in the shot helps give it a sense of scale.
