There were only a few kiosks open on Thanksgiving, and it is doubtful they did much business that day. Perhaps earlier on, but I didn't go over until later in the afternoon, close to sunset. At least this time of day enabled me to get shots with the lights from the display case.

This is the first of many photos I took of the Christmas decorations on the tree located at the Americana at Brand. Like I said before, I was there on Thanksgiving, where few people and few security were around. It gave me an advantage to shoot photos with my EOS and not get hassled about using "professional equipment."

The Christmas displays are up and running full force at the Americana at Brand in Glendale. I was over there on Thanksgiving afternoon, and very few people were there. It would get crazy after that.

I was able to get a lot of stills and video with my EOS, but I was advised by security on Sunday that "professional equipment" was not allowed on the property. My phone is okay, but for good night shots, nothing beats my EOS.

Although I had the Canon EOS last Christmas, I don't think I got a still photo (or even video shot) of this lantern, which is placed conveniently near a couple of kiosks where I can step up fairly close enough. If I had tilted down I would have gotten the large fountain in the background.

I walked over to the Americana in the late afternoon, looking to get some afternoon and magic hour shots of the Christmas decorations up there. It wasn't quite dark enough here, but you can see the Christmas lights on. All the stores were closed, except for a few kiosks and the movie theater. There weren't a lot of people there, which made it easier to grab some photos and videos as well. As usual, I shot a lot of stuff, so I am still sorting through everything.
