Making yet another trek over to the Americana, I saw a lot of holiday shoppers out. Some people were going to the movies, some were going to the stores that were open today, and some were just taking in some food and drink on the premises. There aren't too many interesting places to hang out in Glendale outside of the Americana.

I was able to walk close to the house, which I couldn't do before, for security reasons. After waiting for some people to get out of the way, I was able to grab this image of the entrance, now deserted and ready for dismantling.

I got this shot because I wanted one last good photo of the tree before it is taken down, and because I wanted to get the deep blue sky, figuring I wouldn't get this chance again. The lawn (or sod) has been taken up, so it's only a matter of days before everything else comes down. Best to get the last of this now, while I have the chance.

The sod has been removed until the house, the tree and everything else have been taken away. From the looks of it, this place will be gone shortly. The barricades are down, so everyone who wanted to hung out and took selfies or family photos on their phones.

I decided to get this image with the tungsten stetting, since the statue was gold anyway. The lights look more white here, but that's fine in the context of the shot itself. I managed to get the sky at the right time.

This one turned out pretty well too. So I thought I'd share it here as well. I think this will be the last of the Christmas photos. I have a backlog of Doo Dah stills (frame captures) to put up, and I might find a few new things to shoot as well.
