This side of the Glendale Senior Center is facing Louise Street. The Glendale United Community Church is to the left, across the street. Yellow tape blocks what used to be an area for both senior citizens and homeless people, the latter would come by to sit and relax in the shade. It's one of the reasons the tape has gone up. The city is trying to discourage any loitering in this area. Homeless people are extremely susceptible to the coronavirus and could easily spread it to others unwillingly, just by touching objects and even breathing on them.

Has it stopped activity? I haven't seen anyone around since the tape has gone up, but that doesn't mean people don't come by at other times.

In-N-Out is one of the most popular hamburger chains in southern California. On a normal day, even a Sunday, this place would be packed. Perhaps the CEO decided it was more trouble than it was worth to open the place for takeout and pickup service. And it may have been that the company is getting some kind of recovery or stimulus package where it would cost more to have a skeleton crew working there instead of getting a bailout from the Feds.

I tried to press the lens as close to the glass as possible. But I still got some reflection from the outside, such as the part to the right.

This is a frame capture from HD video using the Canon EOS Rebel T6 camera, with the Canon 18-55mm zoom lens.

This is a slightly closer shot of one group holding a banner, which was threaded at the top so that all the banners would be together in the march. That also meant the marchers all had to stay together to avoid any mishaps. There were none.

You can see that in the video I made. Just click on the link below to my YouTube channel:

One hardy soul decided to work on tanning her legs, but her other two colleagues used their banner as shade from the hot desert sun. And it is a desert sun. Los Angeles was a desert when it started out as a mission. It could be why the turnout wasn't as big as previous Women's rights marches and rallies.

But, as you can see, everyone who could find shade did so.

I didn't get her name either, but she played some Chopin when it was her turn. My only mistake here was to move, not checking out the white tent reflecting off the side of the piano. Otherwise, it was a pleasant but brief time in the shade to listen to some fine music.
