I was lucky to spo this little fellow this morning in the dewy grasses while tramping around in my neanderthol fashion, luckily I didn't step on him, but I did take a while to get a decent shot of him. As is always the case sod's law was on hand to mess with me... I didn't have my Macro lens with me, I did however have my extension tubes. It took me some time to get this shot, getting the focus just right, adjusting the tripod, in the end I think this shot was hand held with the 85 f1.2 + 20mm extension tube to allow closer focusing, a combination I hadn't tried, but it worked reasonably well. This guy was soaked with dew! |
