One of my personal favorite photographs...
A lonely bench along side the east shore of Lake Itasca, during my first trip to Itasca State Park in October 1996. I had moved up to Fargo just over a month before this, starting my new job. I instantly fell in love with this area...and have visited several times since.

In October 2008, nearly twelve years after taking this photo, I returned to Lake Itasca. My wife joined me, as this was her first time up to Itasca. Here's a photo of a similar lonely bench on the east shore of Lake Itasca, roughly about the same location as this bench...
