St Mary's Kirk
Up above St Mary's Loch are the remains of the old St Mary's Kirk, also know as the "Kirk In The Forest"
A freezing cold morning, a nice wee climb above the Loch and quite a nice wee moody result.

St Mary's Loch this morning at sunrise. I drove up this morning trying to believe the weather forecast which was telling me there would be a sunrise over the Loch...even though it was peeing down and dark all the way up. As i approached St Mary's it was still looking grey and wet...suddenly the sky lightened and the clouds started to thin, colour was starting to appear in the sky. I had to find something to shoot, luckily i knew this location from previous trips. I stopped the car, trying to put my wellies on the sky was going too fast for me..it only last 5 mins and this was the best shot i got with the time. I was actually about 15 ft out into the Loch, with water over my wellies with every wave that came my way.

Winter On St Mary's Loch
A cold morning on our trip into the Scottish Borders on Saturday. As normal I always seem to be drawn to a lone tree, a nice layer of snow and frost to work with to enhance the feeling of winter.

Rusty Old Barn
On the outskirts of Leahills there are a couple of old barns, I've had my eye on this one for the last year waiting for a bit of snow on the ground. It was hard to get a compostion I was happy with, so will probably end up posting a couple of different views of it.
