Glencoe Tree


There was a famous old tree that was used so many times in photographs of Glencoe, it looked towards Buachaille Etive Mor, it one that I never had the chance to photograph before it finally fell. So for the past couple of years whenever I have been on a trip to Glencoe I've looked at this tree time and time again without having the correct conditions. On my recent trip over Christmas the conditions were right and so this is the result.

A beautiful winters morning in Glencoe, Buachaille Etive Mor with a dusting of snow. This was one of the images made just after Christmas when the conditions were what could be described as perfect. One of those reasons we all love Scotland so much.

Happy New Year 2015

This is an image from Lochan na Stainge on Rannoch Moor at sunset, one of my own fave images from the trip to Glencoe over the past weekend. I really love the shadows cast by the rocks on the frozen surface.

Glencoe


A beautiful morning in Glencoe, its one of those iconic views looking down the valley to the three sisters.


This is one of those locations that is used so often by anyone photographing Glencoe purely as its next to a parking spot.

Lochan na Stainge - First Light


Another shot from sunrise at a frozen Lochan na Stainge with the first light on the Black Mount range. This one a tighter look at the Black Mount than the previous one, I think I like this one a bit more.
