When I got serious about taking pictures as a hobby, Steph was the best model a person could find. Personable, make-up and styling were always spot on, we'd chat and gossip and take pictures.
As I branched out, finding people online to photograph, I'd photograph folks like Steph, friends or friends of friends or acquaintances, less often, to the point where the last time I photographed Steph was over a decade ago.
Wasn't because she'd changed, rather my hunger for making photographs had outgrown only needing to set up a session every few weeks. I needed more subjects than my circle of friends could provide.
Consequence of that was, I'd see friends less often, photography being an excellent excuse for hanging out. Consequence of That was, folks spun out of my orbit.
Can't remember the last time I saw Steph, truth be told. Mapping how folks have come and out of my life over the years, it's dizzying.
