Former Howard Johnson's Motor Lodge and Restaurant located at 2000 Brentwood St. in High Point,NC. The motor lodge is currently operating under the name Hotel NC while the space where the HJ restaurant operated is currently vacant. The 104 room complex opened for business on November 3rd 1974 and retained the HJ brand until 2011. While the motor lodge continued with its HJ affiliation until 2011 the restaurant likely ceased operating by the mid 1990s. After dropping the HJ brand the property began deteriorating and appears to cater primarily to long term guests. Nevertheless the exterior of the property still maintains its much of its original appearance.
Note the fantastic location of the complex, the orange roof could not be missed from people traveling along I-85.
