Lucky Store located at 660 San Ramon Valley Blvd. in Danville,CA. Ill have more on this store tomorrow!
Lucky Store located at 660 San Ramon Valley Blvd. in Danville,CA. The store is still open as of Spring 2012 and is the smallest "Lucky" remaining with a mere 22,500 square foot sales floor. The smallest "Lucky" store is located in Placerville although it uses the Save Mart name. This small store lacks self-checkout, service meat, and meat counter. In my opinion this store is a perfect but in today's society its dated to say the least. This store is always fully stocked and has employees on hand likely because this store is about the size of a typical "old school" Save Mart. Without a doubt it helps that the wealthy City of Danville lacks a Safeway!
Lucky Store located at 660 San Ramon Valley Blvd. in Danville,CA. This small store is still operating as a Save Mart owned Lucky Store. Many people in the City of Danville make far than the average income of a normal American and are disgusted by this small store. I tell them to go to hell and appreciate what they have after Safeway closed back in 1985! Its still a mystery why Safeway closed their store leaving Lucky/Albertsons/Lucky to make pure profit. Nonetheless Safeway operated two store in Danville and by 1985 they were done with the area while Lucky and Alpha Beta on Diablo Rd. held their ground dealing with potentially outrageous request and needs from customers thinking that beacuse of their income they were far better than the rest. This store which opened in 1974 has a mere nine aisles with no pharmacy, and no self-checkout, but just the items that I need! I should add that this store was remodled by Lucky at some point removing the far left entrance to make a double swing door on the far right-hand side. I do not know why Lucky made the altercation to the store...
