Bayon is a temple that is within Angkor Thom. This is where you find the big smiley faces. These were carved a thousand years ago, originally as Hindu gods. Most of them are still that way, but some of them were changed to Buddha in later years, then some of the Buddhas were changed back to Hindu gods, like Shiva. But all that was hundreds of years ago, so things have settled down now.

They are interesting, but after a while, they become a bit repetitive, so I will upload just a handful of them here.
