The hike to the summit of Sulphur Mountain is approximately 5.5 kilometers long and is considered moderate in difficulty. The trail starts at the base of the mountain and gradually ascends through a forested area.
There is an option to take the Banff Gondola to the summit instead of hiking. However, hiking experience was great although the trail becomes steeper and more challenging as it approaches the summit.
Once at the top, I was rewarded with breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains, valleys, and the Bow River, and “Atomic Bomb” over Banff town.
