Sarrail Ridge is a 11.3-kilometer trail located near Kananaskis, Alberta. It is rated as difficult. The trail starts from the Upper Kananaskis Lake parking lot.

Scramble to Sarrail Ridge was tough, lots of people returned after enjoying the beauty of Rawson Lake from the bottom.

From Rawson Lake to Sarrail Ridge, still quite people at the first 2/3 scrambling, reaching to the steepest part, needed rope to climb, another portion of people gave up, returned… This final third is both physically and mentally challenging but entirely worth it for the view at the ridge! The view on top of the ridge was spectacular!

The fall leaves colors are very good this year. Busy after back from Rocky Mountains trip, no time to see the beautiful leaves at Quebec… Dig out the last year Quebec trip, found one panorama reflections, could not remember the exact location, just remembered passing through a bridge, the little houses were in the middle of the colorful forest, reflected on the still lake, like fairy tale world... There was a bottle on the lake, I did not remove it this time, just want to remind: protecting our environment is everyone’s responsibilities! 😊

After taking sunrise photo at bridge area of Pyramid Lake, the golden light scattered on top of the mountains, driving along Pyramid Lake to see the rest part of the lake, found this place where the red chairs were on the pier, facing to this beautiful mountain!

Lake O'Hara is one of the best-preserved places in the Canadian Rockies. It sits high in the Canadian Rockies at an elevation of 2,020m (6,627 feet). It is a beautiful sub-alpine glacial lake surrounded by the towering peaks of the Canadian Rockies. There are so many accessible trails starting right from the lake, hikers can easily spend days here without getting bored.

The photo was taken while climbing the most difficult trails in this area (except one was closed due to too dangerous slippery). It was snowed couple of days ago, the trail was steep, narrow, and slippery. I thought about giving up in the middle of the mountains, but equally difficult to come back. So, no choice, just kept going… Total climbed 9.2km with elevation gain 1721 meters. The scenery on top was breathtaking, stopped couple of times to take photos, this photo was taken almost reaching to the top, while Mary Lake was still in the view! The camera hung on my neck increased climbing difficulty. 😉

Moraine Lake is a glacially fed lake in Banff National Park. It is situated in the Valley of the Ten Peaks. The lake, being glacially fed, does not reach its crest until mid to late June. When it is full, it reflects a distinctive shade of blue. The color is due to the refraction of light off the rock flour deposited in the lake on a continual basis.

It is too famous, almost no chance to get in due to parking lot full starting very early in the morning. But you could always try, if you were lucky coincidentally some cars left, the parking staff would let you in during daytime to sunset. After capturing the train at Morant’s Curve in the afternoon, tried my luck, got in during sunset time… There was a bit breeze, ripples on the water, not perfect reflection, the light was nice for a short time. The photo was captured by wide lens in one shot.
