Old, unique, and full of personality… The Tufa is otherworldly, but you need to search to find the best views. When we finally arrived at the South Tufa in the afternoon, we were thrilled and surprised by the number and beauty of these incredible God made structures on the lake... There is an easy boardwalk trail down to the Lake. The views are magnificent and beautiful. This lake is often used as the face of 'wish you were here' postcards, and deservedly so.

Manhattan Beach is a city in southwestern Los Angeles County, California. Beach itself is sandy, spacious and offers great views… Parking was difficult, after several rounds, found a parking spot near the Pier. Stayed under the Pier over two hours during sunset, enjoyed the ocean air and the strong waves hitting the pillars. It was great to take sunset photos under the pier.

Mobius Arch is located on Movie Flat Road in the heart of the Alabama Hills. There is a small, easy to miss trailhead sign that you can follow for the half-mile to the arch. hiking Mobius Arch Loop Trail was nice. Seeing the arch from this angle is a beautiful view, but if you proceed around to the other side, you can perfectly frame Mt Whitney in the center of the Arch window. The arch window is about six and a half feet high. The sun light was strong. I was a bit regret missing sunset, and sunrise in this amazing place.

Yosemite Valley is a glacial valley in Yosemite National Park in the western Sierra Nevada mountains of Central California. It covers an area of 3,081 km2, surrounded by high granite summits such as Half Dome and El Capitan, and densely forested with pines. The valley is drained by the Merced River, and a multitude of streams and waterfalls flow into it. It is famous for its landscapes and nature: impressive granite cliffs, waterfalls, rivers with clear water, groves of redwoods and rich biological diversity (almost 95 % of the park is considered a wildlife area). In 1984, the park received the status of "World Heritage" under the auspices of UNESCO.

After taking sunrise photo at Mono Lake, headed to Yosemite Valley. If driving along Highway 120, it would take a bit more than one hour from Lee Vining to Yosemite Valley, but Highway 120 was closed (opened on the end of May), had to detour along the mountain’s cliffs: Highway 395-108-120, it took more than 6 hours… Arrived in the afternoon, sunshine all day, questioned why 120 was still closed on that part. While when arriving to Yosemite Valley, attracted by the beautiful scenery, all of sudden, snowing with hails… Got into the car and wait for an hour, snow stopped. I could understand why 120 was closed, so dangerous driving along the cliffs in this snowing conditions. I heard some people missing while visiting Yosemite Valley.

Finally hitting the Tunnel View while driving along the Valley. There is a Vista point that allows you to appreciate the whole valley. Stayed in this place over 2 hours waiting for sunset, other tourists came, took photos, and left… so cold even with my Canada Goose Jacket on, had to get into the car to warm myself couple of times, left the tripod on the spot… Here was sunset with the crazy clouds covered whole Yosemite Valley! I took lots of photos in this place, only this one having crazy clouds among all these photos, I guess this shape of clouds lasted just few minutes.

You can view Golden Gate Bridge from every angle. The Battery Spencer is a great location to get a bird’s eye view of the Golden Gate Bridge. Formerly a defensive battery, this viewpoint is now abandoned. From 1897 until 1943, Battery Spencer was a cold, isolated, and vital military outpost protecting the Golden Gate. Just beyond the desolate buildings, Battery Spencer offers the best panorama view of this gorgeous bridge.

Went very early in the dark in the morning, followed google map to make sure not turn wrong in every intersection. The first one arrived at the parking lot. You'd be surprised how many locals never drive out here. Checked online before going, it was said that the parking was extremely limited, if parking lot was full, you had to drive all around the big circle, and came back again to check if you are lucky or not to find a parking spot. I counted there were about 18 parking spots there.

Such a nice and peaceful early morning, few cars passing the bridge, you would feel you own the whole region 😉. Nice to take the photos with harbor entrance, Pacific Ocean with the city of San Francisco Bay as a backdrop. Although the lights were strong, the stars were shown on the sky, which I thought they were dusks on my screen… Also captured the ferry passing by, but the long exposure smeared the ferry… It was cold in the early morning, I was comfortable wearing my winter jacket, otherwise very difficult staying for over two hours there. After sunrise photo, hiked a bit to the bridge, to feel how huge the bridge is…

San Francesco is a place where you feel not safe. The sign at the hotel shows “Do not put any bags inside of the car”. Just be sure not to have anything visible in the car, as there were number of broken windows happened daily.

Have a nice Friday and weekend my dear Flickr friends! :))
