It was quite a shock to see tadpoles in a snow melt pond, halfway up a mountain, in the Arctic circle. It didn't take long to find the culprits, with a few of these chunky Common Frogs (Rana temporaria) sitting on the edge of the pond. Floya, Tromso, Norway.
