A perspective that I am certain very few people are familiar with (or have even seen for that matter) can be found in Carlisle, Ontario if you are adventurous enough to cross the creek and squeeze into the small cave. Squatting in the 4 foot high cave I had to get creative to light this scene. Since I only have 1 external flash, I used the 'Flash and cover' method. By doing so, I would cover the lens with a binder, quickly remove the binder fire the flash then quickly cover the lens again. I repeated this method about 4-5 times until I felt the scene would have adequate lighting. To say the least it was an exhausting effort as I spent about 30 minutes to get the right shot and I'll admit after a while I started to feel a bit claustrophobic!

Looking back to October 6th 2012, the autumn colours are at their finest in the Dundas valley as the sky breaks to allow for a few moments of sunlight.

An almost perfect reflection is cast in a stream at Yosemite National Park. Note, the foreground is broken ice and the reflection was rotated/flipped in LR to create this effect. Now that I am back home from exploring California over the past two weeks I am beginning the slow process of organizing and editing the thousands of photos I took and reflecting on the incredible adventure that it was.

While making our way north along the Pacific Coast Highway between Santa Cruz and San Francisco we stumbled upon this oceanside scene and one of the most incredible sunsets I have ever seen.
