With winds exceeding 30 MPH, lack of a tripod and pelting rain it was extremely difficult to photograph this scene, but with persitence and a bit of luck I was able to capture this image. Here, I am looking down at Manhattan from atop the Empire State Building as a storm intensifies in the distance.

After a strenuous 5 mile hike to the top of Yosemite Falls we were greeted with a dramatic sky. I captured this using a poor mans 'gradient filter' by covering the sky with a binder to keep the highlights from becoming overexposed and the shadows from being too dark.
