On a misty Christmas Eve, Canadian National hotshot train no. 148 cruises through Bayview Junction behind a pair of big blue GEs. This train made for a nice 'early Christmas gift', as I was en-route to the mall to finish some last minute shopping when I paid a brief visit to the Junction.

I hope everyone has a very merry Christmas, and the only thing blue is the locomotives that you photograph!

BNSF 1614 (built ATSF 5074 in 1979) an EMD SD40-2 drills the yard at Cicero, IL with a cut of stack cars under a cold winter sky. I have always had an affection for the Santa Fe, especially this classic scheme but I have never had the chance to shoot one until now.
