After crossing over the NKP (NS Lake Erie District) at Blasdell, the Buffalo Southern charges west towards Eden with a small train in tow. This BSOR train is seen passing an ancient Erie searchlight, which once acted as an approach signal for the NKP/Erie diamond in town. However, today it watches trains pass at a much statelier pace than those of the once mighty Erie Railroad.

A Norfolk Southern local and the Buffalo Southern road job race alongside each other through the Tifft Street yards at a breakneck 10 MPH. I almost wish I had been shooting video as the yard was abuzz with action. If you look closely you can even see a pair of CSX GE's leading the eastbound auto rack train on the adjacent ex-NYC line.

Here we are in Worcester, Massachusetts about 40 miles or so out of Boston with today's 'catch of the day'. We ain't talking about 'lobstah' from the 'habah' here but something that's just as good looking! With an ex-ATSF B40-8W at the helm, Providence and Worcester's WOGR begins its journey up the Gardner Branch after waiting for a CSX train to clear the plant. Although slightly high, the sun came out just in time to light up the scene. Seeing as I can still eat lobster in Canada, this P&W train was a very enjoyable catch!

A pair of consecutively numbered GE B39-8Es trundle over a Providence & Worcester lettered bridge in Worcester, Massachusetts. Apparently this bridge was nearly taken out last week when a truck rammed into the east-facing side of it. The result was a bent communication tube and a few less teeth in the truckers mouth...
