On a sticky late August evening in the state of Missouri, a pair of Union Pacific freight trains meet one another in downtown Kansas City. "If you're goin' down South they go no work to do,
If you don't know about Chicago"... for whatever reason, this particular evening reminded me of Zeppelin's "When the Levee Breaks". To me, I always envision the land south of Chicago to St. Louis and Kansas City as one of the birth of blues, American mythology and heavy duty railroading.
