The store number led me to believe that this started out as a dark, dingy Pizza Time Theatre, but that's not the case: it opened in 1999 and took over an old pharmacy space as well as two other smaller storefronts. The location's structural architecture is the same as when it opened, and it was renovated in the mid 2000s and then again around December 2017-February 2018. This is a very spacious store compared to the last two I visited and I feel like there are a hell of a lot more games too.

Here we have the original version of the "Studio C" set-up (aka Alpha), which was used in new/renovated locations during the turn of the millennium. Later locations like Hampton used a similar-looking show that downgraded the talk show-style approach I think they were going for. Notice how the blue screen area in that Hampton photo has been removed here in Richmond, which was probably the result of the feature wearing out over the years (hell, in that Hampton photo you can see how blurry the footage had gotten and how it wasn't being framed correctly!). This location also used to have an interactive console underneath the center TV, which also probably wore out (and was replaced with two of those uncanny valley-looking children drawings from the previous remodel).
