It's Phase 2 of reopening the state, and after almost three months I was finally able to eat and document inside of a Virginia fast food restaurant! This Arby's visit wasn't planned though because I figured their dining room would still be closed off like they are in Hampton Roads, and it was Pizza Hut that I had planned on going to. They were the ones who didn't appear to be open, so you can imagine I lit up when I saw the "dining room open" notice posted to Arby's door! Things, of course, are a little different: every other table is spaced out, there aren't any self serve beverages, you get refills in a whole new cup, the tables have no condiments/napkins, and right now wearing a mask is mandatory in the state unless you're eating/drinking. But hey, some people are probably still scared to go inside restaurants right now or, like I was, are unaware that this dining room even reopened, because the whole time I was here I was the only customer, while everyone else chose the drive-thru. Fine by me if it means less people in my pictures! And I don't mean that in a jackass way because I do respect these places and their underpaid essential employees, so I wear my mask as often as possible and try to keep some distance between me and others, as these places wish. Just the opportunity itself was wonderful!

Design-wise this one looks similar to those four late 80s locations in Richmond. It has the same elevated seating area in the middle of the dining room, a tree growing front and center, carpeting, and a tile floor in front of the counter. The layout is the same too. The only huge difference here is the "tower" at the front of the building, which is pointed instead of curved and extends over the entire dining room, creating a glass ceiling.
