The VCU bookstore recently reopened in time for the new school year. The store is similar to locations in Norfolk and Williamsburg, where Barnes & Noble operates them but their significance is downplayed compared to “normal” locations (especially Williamsburg) so its' status as the college campus' bookstore is more apparent. Still, their fingerprints can be seen all over the salesfloor, such as the usual mural of authors above the café bar and book covers serving as wall artwork. B&N also operates a smaller bookstore nearby for VCU's Medical Center, but since that location is catered specifically towards medical students instead of the general college student audience at this store I probably have no business visiting it.
