Similar to the Emporia location this is one of those combo Burger King/convenience stores, which seemed to be a pretty revolutionary concept in the early 1990s according to a newspaper article published for the location’s opening. While Emporia’s location is placed near an interstate off ramp that justifies the combo, Windsor in comparison is in the middle of nowhere with the only other chain restaurants being Subway and Dairy Queen! That distinction would most likely explain the smaller dining room here, which was thankfully open as advertised online. The location’s original franchisee ditched the location back in 2008 and the restaurant was closed for a few months until a new franchisee purchased it, so when it reopened the dining room was given the usual 2009 décor package that I’d just documented at this Norfolk location.
