After more driving I wanted to grab a little snack to keep me energized. Since I hadn't gotten Burger King in Roanoke Rapids earlier I figured they were still on the books, and after thumbing through maps to find an interesting location I settled on this Raleigh store. Why this one? Well, take a look at that ceiling! It's the original rafters, still on display and painted black as part of the 2018 remodel. It seems that Burger King doesn't require that franchisees install a drop ceiling like they would have 20 years ago, so those that have always gone without one can continue to do so. The rest of the dining room is as standard as can be with its' mid-2010s furnishings, but the ceiling just enhances the atmosphere so much.
