I figured I'd go ahead and document my local Bed Bath & Beyond before their liquidation sale begins Wednesday. I expected it to be on the quiet side like the Midlothian store I visited yesterday, but upon entry I saw a huge line at checkout; I assume that these were customers who wanted to use their coupons before they expire Wednesday, and while I expected a few people to be here for that reason I didn't anticipate the volume here! I don't think I've been in this store since 2017, so the modifications made during a 2018 remodel were new to me. For the most part the store is the usual mix of departments in pockets of space surrounded by slat wall, but the middle of the floor across from checkout features an open concept design. That was the biggest change I noticed, and the overall store buildout and aesthetic is original from 1998.
