I enjoy visiting 7-Eleven locations in repurposed buildings in the hope that elements from the original tenant will be intact, but the corporation usually does a good job of gutting and building their stores out. That was my experience at this old Norfolk Shoney's, and it was the same here at this former Friendly's restaurant in Richmond, which I believe is the last standing Friendly's building in the area since each of the others were demolished. The exterior is the only interesting feature about this place, as the salesfloor is very typical of a 2010s 7-Eleven. The counter area is on the building's left side, coolers are along the back wall, and the Slurpee/drink stations are placed against the right wall, along with a single-occupancy restroom.
