At a glance sand dunes can seem quite homogeneous. However, it is amazing the variety of structures one can run into. For example, on the top of this rather large specimen was a fairly large "summit" area which was playing host to its own sand dunes on top of the parent sand dune.
This picture also illustrates a property of composition which for some reason I seem to notice more with the large format camera. This is that the same "normal" camera lens can feel quite "long" or quite "wide" depending upon how the subject is framed.
