Nikon F4 with Fuji Velvia 100 slide film. Scanned on my Konica Minolta Dimage Scan Dual IV scanner. This scanner has no ICE feature to remove the dust and scratches.

One of the challenges I have had with this scanner is the inability to finely control the scan easily with the Konica Minolta software and the inability to get good results with Vuescan (in which I CAN control everything). Especially problematic for me were these very colourful slides. I have finally nailed a new workflow where I output to "DNG" format TIFF files. In Adobe Lightroom I have found that I can correct the poor colour somewhat by manipulating the controls in the "Camera Calibration" section.

As a final footnote, I am only able to get a good approximation of the colours in this scene by using an AdobeRGB JPEG. Depending on your browser this may not render properly (I try to always use sRGB). If the slide looks dull to you try a different browser, it may not be recognising the AdobeRGB profile.
