Same roll as the Faith portraits. This is the first of the film shots that I have managed to get to. I have four large format shots developed but not yet scanned.
I like the sense of light here with the white background and the movement from the dark bottom right corner to the light upper left corner.

Took a while before I finished this roll. The amazing Sarah K from a session a while back.
I'm not quite sure what is causing this haze. A lens flare? Anyway, I think I like it.

Photography is an iterative process.
I am taking full advantage of my time without my family to try to cram as much possible advancement of my skills as humanly possible.
I have a great luxury as a film shooter. I know without a doubt that I am the weak link in the chain. I have no upgrade anxieties. I am using a top quality Mamiya studio medium format camera. I am using a professional top quality Mamiya telephoto lens. I am using Kodak's top quality fashion negative film. I am doing my own development. I am scanning with a Nikon Coolscan 9000ED scanner which is just about the best you can buy for under $10,000. And I have Lightroom just like every other digital shooter on the planet. Sitting in front of me for this shoot is the gorgeous Sarah K. If anything is less than perfect it is me, me, me!
Of course, if anything ceases to suck, that is God! I am not just practicing and reading articles. I am reading and praying. And He will strengthen me.
If you are having trouble seeing the difference with the previous version, I think the skin here is more natural and the whole picture is a little less flat.
