Another classic Fuji Astia shot for me. I love the subtlety of the rendering of light and colour. Can't put my finger on it but this is one of my favourite desert dune shots.

Alright, this one is for the mad scientist photographers only. The effect is probably essentially invisible unless you download the original resolution file and peep.
The idea came from the fact that I loved this wide view from the 35mm lens on my Mamiya. However, in the middle of the frame is a large Qatar flag flying behind the bluff across the water. This would render very small on the photograph. However, a tighter focal length would miss the nice wide composition.
I took the scene three times. With the 35mm. With the 110mm. With the 210mm. All without moving the camera. I then worked out what resizing I needed to do to each of the tighter focal length images to shrink them down to scale on the master wide 35mm image. In this way both of the higher detail images were added to the centre of the image where the area of interest (the flag) was.
If you zoom in on the image you should see that as you approach the centre the image detail level increases. It's a lot of work to put together but kind of cool.
