Nikon FE. Kodak Gold 200
This was a bit of fun. Obviously it's a high range image and there's more in the negative than Negative Lab Pro generally pulls out in its default somewhat punchy interpretation.
What I did here was copy the image three times. I then interpreted each with NLP with the same settings. But for the "high" one I zoomed the crop into the sunny part. For the "low" one I zoomed into some shadows. The "mid" one NLP analysed the whole image. I then used Photoshop's HDR. I had to sorta guess appropriate exposure values based on what they looked like. Then futzed around with the sliders until something looked decent. Imported it back into Lightroom and pasted in the same edits as the "straight" one (seen here earlier in my photostream).
It's emphasized the grain somewhat. Which is not all bad. And it has pleasingly more punch. I think I kinda like it.
