Red fox in the snow, just a perfect combination. Taken on my last trip to the Cantabrian Mountains, Spain.
Wish you all a happy new year 2025 with many unforgetable moments with wildlife and in the nature!

Blue-winged x Cinnamon Teal (hybrid), Sweet Springs Nature Preserve, Los Osos, CA

This is possibly the same wintering bird first recorded at Sweet Springs Nature Preserve in Feb 2018, although there was a one-year gap in 2021.

Research in 2018 suggested that this bird has parentage of both these species. --- See photo of a captive hybrid of known parentage: www.10000birds.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/05/bluewingedx...

In the heart of Bohol, Visayas, the Philippines, freshly caught bangus fish are meticulously laid out to dry under the tropical sun. This traditional method of fish preservation is a testament to the enduring practices of the local fishermen and their families, whose stilt houses line the serene turquoise waters. The vibrant scene captures the essence of a community deeply connected to the sea, where every element, from the drying fish to the colorful laundry, tells a story of resilience and harmony with nature.
