This Bald Eagle appeared at Atascadero Lake on 12/28/17 and was chased away by the dominant pair. It returned 30 minutes later and caught a fish right in front of the 2 dominant Bald Eagles! I think they were amazed by it's 1 foot fish grab!!!! I think this is a 3 year old Bald Eagle???

Immature Bald Eagle with a meal! On this day I went to Santa Margarita Lake for about 3 hours and saw no eagles! Driving back home I spotted this Immature bald Eagle at Atascadero Lake sitting in the tree top , watching the many Coots below him. I knew this would be the day to get a image of a coot in the eagles talons! I waited and turned my head for a second and of course the eagle attacked before I could get it together and get some focused sharp shots. Anyway I got a few shots and the hunt continues!!!!!!!! Go Eagles!!!!!

After catching a fish the 2 Bald Eagles at Atascadero Lake dined in this oak tree. Looks like the male is attempting a bite from the fish meal while the female is eating.

Driving on Highway 101 and I saw this Bald Eagle in this oak tree. I watched him for a half hour but he just sat.
