Got this medium-sized Pacific Golden Plover on its annual winter migration to Asia. This 25 cm bird forages for food on tundra, fields, beaches and tidal flats, usually by sight. It eats insects and crustaceans and some berries. Was lucky to get some clear shots of it when I visited a beach many kilometers from my home. |
