Taken Henry Ford with his mass-produced T-Ford, as an example, Robert Peugeot wanted to create an economical car which was affordable for the mass.
The Peugeot 201 was the first version. It was presented on the Summer 1929 Salon de Paris.
This Peugeot 201 BL Cabriolet is a very unique car: it isn't listed in the Peugeot production catalogues, it doesn't exist officially.
For 1933 Peugeot had stopped the production of the 201 cabriolet to be replaced by the 301 cabriolet. There's only this one. That's because there was a client who wanted absolutely and only a cabriolet from the 201 series. But they were not available anymore. So he ordered a 'naked' 201 chassis and commissioned a cabriolet at Carrossier J. Henry, Nancy, with original 201 elements bottomed from older 201 models and contemporary models like the hood with the five vertical valves.
This car was completely restored and painted in the original colour scheme.
