The new Simca 1100-Series was launched in May 1967. By the time it was a modern car: modern design as a 5-door hatchback with front wheel traction.
In 1969 an estate version was added.
For the 1975 model the 1100-Series got new door handles.
After PSA took over Simca from Chrysler-Europe in late 1978 the brand name Simca was gradually replaced from Simca-Talbot to finally Talbot. The Dutch car registration authorities RDW has incorrectly registered this car as Talbot 1100.
The Simca 1100 was also assembled in Madrid and sold as Simca 1200 (till Spring 1982).

1118 cc.
928 kg.
Production Simca 1100 in France: 1967-1979 / as Talbot: 1979-Late 1981 (as VF2 Fourgonnette till 1985).
Original old Dutch reg. number: March 9, 1977.
Owned by the garage company since June 12, 2010.

Seen in the showroom of garage Autobedrijf Gebr. Stichter, Nieuwveen.

Model cars from 1930s and 1940s American automobiles. I can't specify them. I didn't pay any further attention to them because there was so much to see all around.

Seen at the back of a 1963 Chrysler New Yorker 4-Door Hardtop Sedan.

Besides the early War years 1940-1942, the New Yorker Series was re-introduced in 1946.
This New Yorker model year 1964 was designed by Virgil Exner (1909-1973). The 1963-64 Chryslers were his last designs before he left Chrysler Motor Corporation after a conflict about the quite bizarre style of his designs. Exner was replaced by Elwood Engle (1917-1986) who came from Fords devision of Lincoln and Mercury. Engle made Chrysler cars much more conventional.
The original colour of this white automobile used to be black!
The exterior mirrors were placed on the wings as a result of the regulation that these mirrors had to be visible through the windscreen. So it's not a 1960s fashion thing.

6.8 Litre 8 cylinder petrol V-engine runs on LPG.
2039 kg.
Production New Yorker series: 1946-1996.
Production New Yorker this version: 1963-1964.
Original first reg. number: Oct. 22, 1963.
New old Dutch reg. number: Autumn 1976 (still valid, July 2022).
Sold at Nov. 4, 2020 and offered for sale twice since then.

Amstelveen, Veenendaalplein, March 7, 2017.
