This is the same entry pavilion at Vaughn Metropolitan Station, but looking the other way from the image I posted before this. The different reflections make it look like a completely different space.

I was determined to include every station on Toronto-York Extension in this little series and I wanted it to progress (at least generally) from dark to light, and from track level to surface level. So, as the series is nearing the end, I bring you to the surface level of the northernmost station. Track level at Vaughn Metropolitan Centre Station isn't very interesting but I'm sure most people think the star of this station is entry pavilion and it's fantastic ceiling called Atmospheric Lens by Paul Raff Studio. The whole ceiling is covered with reflective panels and asymmetrically-placed skylights, making it a unique piece of art from wherever you are standing.

Vaughan Metropolitan Centre TTC subway station. Vaughan, Canada.

This image is part of a small series of images of the Toronto-York Subway Extension . I photographed early Sunday mornings, as the stations were opening, and only stayed a few hours each time, all before our current stay-at-home order came into effect.
