I went to the Bonavista Peninsula in Newfoundland because I knew it was wonderfually dramatic but also in hopes of seeing icebergs. I did see two - one of them very close to this spot on Tickle Cove - but even hunting for them was fun.

This is a long exposure of the great green rock formation you can see in the previous image I posted (from down on the beach and different angle). I also loved the red stones under the water in the foreground, which are subtle, I know. I loved this beautiful cove and I'm glad I got at least one image from there that I liked.

A last high key image from Newfoundland.

This is, again, the rocky Bonavista Peninsula. I only spent 2 days there, but I wish it had been a lot longer.

The long exposure calms the water but this was a really stormy day - whistling winds, splashing spray from the waves and no more than 9 degrees. I was enjoying myself so much, though, that I didn't notice how cold it was until I couldn't feel my fingers any more. : )

Newfoundland Iceberg I

This little iceberg (it was probably not more than 15 feet across) was located not far from Tickle Cove on the Bonavista Peninsula.
