This is the only one of the four studios on Fogo Island that is visible from the road, though it is about 2 kms from the nearest town. You may have noticed the wood piles next to this studio - off to the right - and Squish Studio (previous image). All the studios are off-grid - collecting their own rain water and solar energy and heated by wood stoves. Wood has to be brought in from the nearest trail head, and at Tower Studio there is a lovely red sled to bring in the firewood (see first pic in the comments) along the 300m boardwalk over the moss and lichen-clad rocks to the studio.
I've written a blog post about my Newfoundland trip if you'd like to read it.
If you’d like to see all the Newfoundland images together, I’ve updated my website and you can see them all on the Galleries page.

Another take on this scene. What a fun place to shoot - where a bit of movement right or left creates a whole different image.

Another image from my early February outing north of Toronto on that snowy day. This is my favourite horse farm (a wider view of the place than the one I posted Feb. 28). These fences seem so fancifully laid out, but I'm sure there is a method to it.

I'm thinking of going back to Newfoundland this summer, so I was going through the images I shot there in 2015 and I found this one which I never finished processing successfully and never posted.
This is the S.S. Charcot, run aground in Conception Harbour on the Bonavista Peninsula, Newfoundland.

In some ways, this place screams out for black and white, though I did like the subdued colours of my first image, so here's a b&w.
