The nights in Namibia are magical. The skies are dark and studded with stars. the milky way visible to the naked eye. The night sky seen the way it was meant to be seen. The Quiver tree basking in the glow of the night. (well a drone was used to light the tree, but lets ignore that fact for now).

There are many magical places in Namibia and Sossusvlei is one of them. The way the light paints that desert is unparalleled. We just need to wait for that right moment when the shadow hits the margin of the dune and the salt plain and watch the magic unfold.

In celebrating Earth Day I wanted to share an image from my favorite National park. It is in this park that I first took up photography in 2011. In this superimposed interlude of quiet this place has been recovering from overcrowding.
