Catching the alpen glow of sunset over these multihued peaks was a treat, but when that nearly full moon rose, the drama was at a whole different level. (Focal length blend) Landscape has been shot at 212 mm and moon at 400 mm and images blended together.

Came across this scene while traversing a far less traveled part of Ladakh. The best part of the journey is the surprise that awaits you at the next turn.

The symphony of light atmosphere and spectacular landscape. This reminds me of the quote that when words fail me I shall resort to pictures.

Gonbo Rangjon mountain in Zanskar Ladakh is considered to be holy by the local inhabitants who practice Buddhism. Standing at the base of the mountain you are at 14,800 ft and towering above at 18,110 ft stands this divine peak. Illuminated by the light of the setting sun it demands we photographers fall to our knees and pray our images do justice.

It is not often that I do pano shots. But the alpen glow across this Himalayan mountain range could only be portrayed in this format. Have just returned from a trip to Ladakh, India. Had the opportunity to explore places far off the beaten path and inundate both mind and soul in the positive energy of this magical place.
