This was from a series of 7 bracketed (-1, 0, +1) shots that I made into HDR's and then spliced them into a panorama in Lightroom. I used a panning head and nodal slide, onto which I mounted my camera vertically, then leveled my tripod, panning head and the nodal slide and took the shots 15° apart, with the camera set to manual. I used a 24mm tilt/shift lens shifted down to give me the proper framing without tilting the camera.

All of this while being very nervous about standing on the edge of the cliff, where one misstep could cost me my life (or worse yet, the loss of all my gear.) But the worst part was climbing the 3/4 mile hill to get back to the car in the 90° heat and at the 6,000 ft. elevation. And I didn't take any water because the guide to the slot canyon that I visited on the way up to Bryce said it was only a 1/4 mile trail.

The little blue square is two rubber rafts, tied together, with a single motor between them.
