I know. Baby sheep are lambs, not kids, which are baby goats, but the line from Casablanca seems appropriate anyway. Call it poetic license.

My favorite Christmas preset last year, sent by the Great Shepherd in the sky, was the chance to photograph a flock, herd, trip, drove or mob of these magnificent, rare Desert Bighorn Sheep. This was on the Borrego Palm Canyon Nature Trail, a three mile round trip trail to a delightfully shady desert oasis complete with California fan palms and a waterfall. This was truly a memorable event in my life.
