Here's a shot where operator, vehicle, street and department store are now no more.

Midway JMB 334T is seen, partly still in the livery of previous operator, Midland Red North, parked alongside the Arndale Centre on Cannon Street, Manchester on 22/07/1991.

Clothing store C & A will be familiar to a certain generation. They ceased trading in the UK in 2001, but still exist elsewhere, particularly in their native Europe. A touch like the Primark of today, I suppose; I remember my last purchase from them, being a cheap pair of shoes for work. It would be unkind to say that they were falling to bits in the bag as I left the shop, but in truth they didn't last much longer.
