It was only when I was giving this scanned slide shot a bit of a wash-and-brush-up in Photoshop that I spotted that the driver had been indicating to me that he was on his second run of the day. Either that or he was challenging me to a game of "Scissors Paper Stone"...

Although I have popped this in the "Permission to Photograph.." set, I suspect there may be no real animosity involved here: perhaps just a touch of what is euphemistically referred to as "jovial banter" going on.

Either way, it's taken the best part of 23 years for me to realise he was flipping me the V's!
